If you are here, you probably know who I am. If not, the musical story is best explained at www.michaelzilber.com by clicking on bio. If you want to read some writing of mine that is not in the moment, go to www.michaelzilber.com/writing. As for the rest, I am the proud and doting father of Mac Zilber, who is a wizard at everything from rapping to theater improv to world politics. I have two goofy black Labs who are absurdly affectionate. They constantly remind me that I need to work harder on being in the moment - are all dogs Buddhists? I am grateful to live in the Bay Area, where many folks at least vaguely share my lefty sensibilities, am a chicken and fishatarian who loves all varieties of Asian cuisine, am an unreconstructed leg man (beautiful women who wear stockings because they love to are born sensualists, imo), and can live anywhere there is ocean, non-oppressive weather, cultural diversity and acceptance, a respectably-sized jazz audience, bass players and drummers who can swing and easy access to good coffee, dog parks and hard copies of the NYTIMES. Hmm, that rules a lot of places out, doesn't it?
