Bravo, Mr, President!

I could not be more proud of Pres. Obama.

Coming out in favor of gay marriage was a profile in political courage with no political upside in the short term. In fact, it could cost him

North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado. As opposed to Bill Clinton in 1996, cravenly signing the Defense of marriage act and gutting welfare,

Obama stood up and did the right thing when it was not a political winner. Of course the contrast between him and the rigid and reactionary

Romney could not be more vivid. The arc of the moral universe is indeed long, but it does ultimately bend towards justice. I am so happy to

see that our president is on the right side of this moral issue. Bravo!
